Joseph and Christina Jones are the owners of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Joseph is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Georgia. He is a native of Hogansville, Georgia, where he began working at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home when he was sixteen years old. Joseph is a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta. In past years, Joseph has served as an associate pastor, minister of music and pianist. Joseph’s desire is to offer his years of training, service and professionalism to his community by going above and beyond the expectations of a funeral home. He believes that a funeral home is much more than a business, it is also a place of Ministry. Christina is from Columbus, GA where she taught school for eight years at Westminster Christian School. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Columbus State University where she obtains a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in History. She also has an Associate’s degree in Allied health. They are residents of Leesburg and are honored to serve Albany, Leesburg and surrounding areas though the ministry of funeral service.

Rev. Robin Chaplin, Office Manager

Reverend W. Robin Chaplin serves the funeral home as our office manager,  pre-need counselor and is a funeral director/embalmer apprentice. He has lived in Albany since 2001 and is the Pastor of Victory Baptist Church. He graduated from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College of Greenville, South Carolina in 1988 and he is a licensed Insurance Agent in the State of Georgia. He is married to his high school sweetheart Shirley and they have three children and four grandchildren.

Robert Smith , Funeral Director/Embalmer

Robert serves Hall and Hall Funeral Home and our families as the funeral director and embalmer in full and continuous charge. He has worked in funeral service since he was 16 years of age. He graduated from Ogeechee Technical College in 2006 with a degree in funeral service and considers this his calling in life. He is married to Gina and in his free time he enjoys spending time with her and their children.

Stephen Chaplin

Stephen has worked part time for Hall & Hall Funeral Home for the past five years. He now works for both Hall & Hall Funeral Home in Albany and Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home in Leesburg.  He is a member of Victory Baptist Church where his dad is the pastor and Stephen often leads the music. After the completion of his apprenticeship, Stephen plans to attend Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro to obtain his degree as a funeral director and embalmer. He is married to Traci Harper Chaplin.

Greg and Charlene Sawyer, Funeral and Visitation Staff

Greg and Charlene Sawyer work together to care for our families during visitations and Greg works many of our funerals. They are members of Liberty Parkway Church of God and they have one daughter, Christina.

Rev. Russell Paine, Funeral Assistant

Rev. Russell Paine teaches at International Studies Elementary Charter School in Albany and is the youth pastor and a deacon at Bethel Holiness Tabernacle. Russell has been on the mission field in Haiti and other places. Russell works part time for us here and is always willing to go the extra mile to care for those we serve. He is married to Katie and together they have been blessed with four beautiful children.

Mrs. Deane Denby

Mrs. Deane Denby is the widow of William P. Denby and has worked at the funeral home for many years. She has lived in Albany since 1949. She is a graduate of Moultrie High School and Business School. Mrs. Dean worked with the Dougherty County Probate Court for 27 years and retired as acting probate judge. She is a member of Salem Baptist Church in Worth County and is a past president of the Southwest Georgia Exchange Club. She has one daughter, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Lynn Denby Harris passed away on May 15, 2011 at the age of 57. Through the loss of a husband and her daughter, Mrs. Deane still remains strong as she cares for our families here at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.

Sharon Pressley is the owner of The Lazy Daisy Plant Nursery in Baconton and works visitations here at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.  She is a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mitchell County. She is the wife of William “Bill” E. Pressley, retired Marine of over 30 years. She has two children; two step-children; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Matt Harrell works full time with Procter and Gamble of Albany and works part time with us here at the funeral home when available. He is an ordained minister and enjoys preaching God's word and traveling with his daughter, Mandy who sings southern gospel music. He is married to Elaine Johnson Harrell, has three children, Mandy, Lindsey and Ryan. His family are members of Heritage Full Gospel of Leesburg. He welcomed into the world his first grandson, Anderson in April of 2014.

A native of Kendallville, IN., Dave moved to Albany in 1973 and worked with Proctor and Gamble for twenty years. He proudly served our country in the Navy. In his spare time he enjoys looking at antique automobiles and working in his yard. He  is married to Brenda and  has four sons and two daughters. His family attends Liberty Parkway Church of God.
